I was asked to do a shoot for a birthday party and at the last minute we had to cancel it due to the birthday girl having the flu. We rescheduled it for a PD day so that the girls would all be available, and of course Mother Nature decided to unleash a blizzard. We started the shoot indoors with the hopes of making it outside for a few shots and I think the end results were pretty good. I love doing these shoots because it reminds me of when I was a teenager too. Although I didn't have a cell phone, or a lap top or Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber. lol One thing remains the same no matter how old you get; friendships between girls. The topic of conversation may be less of what boy you have a crush on and more of what diaper rash cream you use on your baby, but the bond is there. It only gets stronger with age and it becomes more treasured. Watching these girls giggle and gossip while listening to Taylor Swift and flipping through teen vogue, I was so happy to capture this time in there lives. I hope they look back on the photos in the future and say, hey remember when?
What winter shoot would be complete without a little snow throwing?
I told Jennifer I envy anyone who can play the guitar. I've tried, and failed.
She totally reminded me of Taylor Swift!
These girls were so natural at this. Just gorgeous.
Jennifer's younger sister Stephanie was my assistant for the shoot and did a fantastic job. We had to get her in on a couple shots too!
