I can't believe it's already been a year for Heritage Photography. I am so blessed to have such wonderful clients who have allowed me to share my passion for photography. I didn't get here on my own though, so many people have guided, influenced, helped and supported me. It all started with a hobby, and then, with some coaxing, I enrolled in the photography program at Conestoga. Next, I registered my business and began booking clients. Now, only two more semesters until graduation and my business is still growing.
Thank you to my first year clients for taking a chance on the new kid in town, so to speak. It's because of you that I have the opportunity to live out my crazy dreams.
Thank you to Niki for helping me put together my first blog. I was so intimidated by the technical world and you guided me with patience and expertise. I would've been lost without you.
Thank you to Vinny for sitting down and bringing to life my vision for a logo. You're an absolute wiz when it comes to graphic design and I am so proud to use the logo you created. I will take credit for the pink lettering though. lol
Thank you to some of my wonderful teachers at Conestoga College, especially Marc for your insanely organized notes, your continued guidance and that damn crazy Shepherd. Although he will forever be a thorn in my side, I did learn a lot from him. ;)
Thank you to all my friends & extended family, especially Lynn & Sarah who I have neglected so horribly in the past year. Thank you to all of you for booking shoots with me, some of you multiple shoots (Bea & Roxy) and for hanging my images in your homes. There is no greater compliment than to see your work displayed in frames.
Thank you to my Uncle Mark, for who I named my business in honor of. You're zest for life and your magnetic personality no doubt made Heritage Scale the success it was. I still miss your contagious smile and selfless manner that continue to inspire me to be the same. Naming my business Heritage Photography is just a small way of letting you know how much you're missed.
Thank you Christine Kufske of Click Photography http://www.clickphotography.ca/ Your images inspired me to take my hobby to the next level and they continue to inspire me to be a better photographer. You're such a talented and creative photographer but above that you're an amazing Women. Your generous guidance and willingness to share have been such cherished gifts. I am so proud to call you my friend.
Thank you to James for pushing me to follow my dreams, and even modelling on occasion. I know how difficult it has been to take a back seat to my shooting and editing schedule. I am so blessed to have your love, support and sometimes shoulder to rely on. xo
Finally, to my family, Mom, Dad, Matt & Michele. I know I've had some crazy ideas in the past and you've always stood by me, even if you thought they were bad ideas. Granted, some of them have been a little out there but this is one idea that I really wanted to succeed. I am so lucky to have a family that I can count on for love, support, guidance and even the occasional loan. lol If I didn't have such a strong foundation to stand on, the bottom would fall out and the whole thing would come crashing down. Thank you for always believing in me even if I didn't believe in myself. I am truly blessed and proud to have such an amazing family.
I put together a few of my favorite images from the past year. There were so many, it was hard to narrow it down. If I've worked with you before, thank you for your trust and if I haven't yet worked with you, I look forward to meeting you and capturing your moments and turning them into memories!
Congrats Rebecca! It's always the person behind the camera that makes the photos great! You deserve much success! Happy 1 Yr! :)
