Ice Cream Treat | Elora Family Photographer

This family is no stranger to the blog.  I'm so thankful that I continue to be asked to photograph this growing family.  Elora was the perfect spot for this family photo session.  What kid doesn't want to end a photo session with ice cream?!?!  I love watching the personalities of the twins grow and develop.  And now we have their baby sister to follow in their foot steps. Happy soon to be first birthday to the youngest member of the Turk family.

A Challenge | Cambridge Family Photographer

Before showing up for every session, I have butterflies and excitement. You would think at some point in my photography career, that would go away.  However, each session feels like the first.  I invest a lot of time and thought into my sessions and really want the best for all my clients.  No pressure.  Family sessions are the most difficult for me to prepare for.  How do you prepare for the unknown?  You can't really.  You take it as it comes and enjoy the ride.

Little Miss. Taylor was off and running before our session even began.  Her parents warned me after the first few minutes that she is not one to stay still or snuggle.  Perfect! I love a challenge.  So we bribed with raisins and bubbles and let the rest happen naturally.  After all, isn't that what it's all about?  Documenting who YOU are as a family.  I loved the light, I loved the giggles and I loved the relationship in this family.  Oh, and I really loved her little shoes.  I'm a sucker for pink.

The Dress | Elora Photographer

Every girl dreams of her wedding day and the beautiful dress she will wear.  What you don't know when you're a little girl is how much you will spend on this dress and how little time you spend wearing it.  So why not make it worth while and throw it back on for another round?  Some people call it a "trash the dress" session and some people call it "bridal portraits".  It doesn't matter what you want to call it, it's brilliant!!!  

Mandy was married last summer in a gorgeous farm/tent wedding with details fit for a pinterest page.  Everything was beautiful including the dress.  Fitted lace with a tiny bow; this dress could not have been made for any other person.  It was perfect for the bride and the theme.  When Mandy asked me about doing a shoot this fall in her dress I was over the moon excited.  It gave me creative freedom that you can't exercise on the actual wedding day.  We stomped through glass, weeds, rocks and water to come up with the end result.  

Thank you for your trust Mandy and for your friendship. I will never forget this shoot. . . for many reasons. ;)
