Cake Smash!

I was so excited when Melissa contacted me to come to Maleia's first birthday and shoot a cake smash.  I've never done this before and I loved it.  If anyone wants to do this, please feel free to contact me.  I wish my parents would've set a cake infront of me when I was one and EXPECTED me to make a huge mess.  Her facial expressions were priceless.  At first she looked at the cake and then her parents and back again. I believe the inner monologue would've been something like " Are they serious, or is this a trick? No seriously, you want me to use my hands and start eating as much cake as I want"???? Once she dug into it, there was no turning back.

THIS IS WHERE THE SUGAR HIGH COMES IN!

Catching Up

I apologize for being M.I.A.  The holidays are always a busy time and I took some time off to enjoy the company of family and friends.  I've also been working on a web site and gathering new products to share with all of you.  In between all of these things I've been working extra hours at the day job as well as continuing to keep up with my classes at Conestoga. I'm two semesters away from from my College Diploma in Photography.  That day can't come soon enough.

I'll pick up where I left off with a late fall engagement shoot with an amazing couple.  Thanks to Scott and Becky for taking a chance on a stranger and providing me with an afternoon of entertainment.  The campus of McMaster was the perfect choice for our shoot, not just because they met there, but because of it's amazing character.  The grounds and the architecture provide gorgeous back drops for any type of shoot.
