Nixon Turns One

I had a fantastic Sunday morning with this little man.  I was impressed at how much damage he did to his cake.  We started with a few clean photos and then dove into his cake smash. Once he had a taste of it, there was no going back.  I'm a sucker for a kid in a bow tie. And those suspenders, come on,   can he be any cuter?!? Happy First Birthday Nixon!

My beautiful cousin and her husband welcomed their third child in 2014.  Already having two busy boys to occupy their time, it's only fitting that some pink be introduced to the household.  We were able to squeeze in a belly shoot before Baby B made her early arrival. Both sessions were full of the usual busyness of two boys but when it came to their little sister, both boys were loving and gentle.  It warms my heart to see my little cousin so content as a mother. Mel and Travis you are inspiring as parents and as a couple.  I wish you both the best as your family continues to grow.

Now that the cold weather has brought on a slower pace, it's time to catch up on what I was up to in 2014.  I can't believe how much this little guy has grown.  I was honored to shoot his parents wedding in 2012 at the Cambridge Mill. I love their story and the relationship that they've built.  This little family makes my heart smile.

My favorite thing about this session was the fact that we shot the entire thing in one room!  It goes to show that you don't need a lot of space to work with, just some yummy light.  Ok, so there were a few shots taken in the nursery, so maybe not the entire session.
